Lower Elementary

Designed for students in grades K-3, this program contains a teachers guide with two lesson plans and a video focusing on water conservation and the history of water in Arizona and a student activity book. It is correlated to the Arizona State Education Standards. Designed for students in grades 4-8, this program includes a 6-lesson teacher’s guide, a 3-part video, a computer game and the Arizona Water Map, displaying watersheds throughout the state. It is correlated to the Arizona State Education Standards This study unit may be particularly useful as a supplement to the study of Arizona as a state, or as a supplement to a physical science unit on natural resources. Every effort has been made to integrate many subject areas (geography, math, science, history and art) and to help students develop specific skills (critical thinking, organizing data, predicting, mapping, graphing).
